LA CHAPELLE D'ABONDANCE
One of the shortest drives from Calais and only 1hr 30mins from Geneva, la Chapelle d'Abondance is an old chalet
style alpine farming village built around two sides of the valley Skiers can choose to ski locally at either Cret Beni a self contained area or ski from Braitaz up to Châtel area linking to Switzerland or to Avoriaz Morzine and Les Gets from Le
Linga and Pre la Joux. An excellent value resort with charm, La Chapelle has one of the best value restaurants in Europe, Les Cornettes. Plus lots of other nice restaurants and
bars. Our favourite haunt is "Happy Hour" at the Fer Rouge our local micro Brewery and Restaurant where you can sample their own Bitter Stout Lager and Wheat Beers and the best
Savoyard dishes. In summer there are many walks starting close to the village centre.
