SUMMER

Hill walking
across floral alpine meadows, mountain biking, rock climbing, golf, white water rafting, paragliding are all on offer during the summer months. Of course, you don’t have to be active every day. You can enjoy a restful cruise on Lake Geneva or simply use Châtel
as a convenient base to explore the northern alps

The area is rich in wildlife; a paradise for naturalists and bird watchers. Chamois, alpine Ibex, Mouflon, Marmot, Golden Eagle and other birds of prey can all be seen within a few miles of the village.

The village has a wide variety of small shops, many selling local produce and specialities. There is a
small open air morning market every Wednesday (Chatel), Friday (La Chapelle) and Sunday (Abondance). Every Thursday there is a large market in Thonon les Bains.
A large supermarket on the outskirts of the village is very reasonably priced and ideal for those self-catering.

With a wide variety of activities you won't be bored as there is something for all age groups
